This was absolutely state of the art for 1985.
The Suzuki Gsxr used a central cam drive and a primary drive via gear mated to the number-three cylinder's right-hand crank cheek.
Although the main-bearing journals and cylinder pitch look wide by today's standards, this was an incredibly compact and lightweight engine for the mid-1980s.
