In 1987, the Yoshimura team worked hard in the Daytona 200

In 1987, the Yoshimura team and Kevin Schwantz worked hard in the Daytona 200 but came up short. Victory would be achieved in a little more than three months at the Loudon round of the Superbike championship.
The following year, Schwantz would win the 200 in commanding fashion, running the Gsxr's new short-stroke engine.
